Observatorio de Cambio Climático y Biodiversidad – Latitud Cero UDET
Una plataforma digital para integrar ciencia, cultura y acción comunitaria
El Observatorio de la UDET es una iniciativa científica, educativa y comunitaria que monitorea el impacto del cambio climático en los ecosistemas andinos de Pimampiro, Imbabura. A través de un enfoque transdisciplinario, integra datos científicos, saberes ancestrales y participación ciudadana para generar conocimiento, fortalecer la resiliencia local y promover estrategias de conservación y ecoturismo sostenible.
Desde la Reserva Sabia Esperanza, el observatorio estudia especies emblemáticas como el oso andino y los frailejones, impulsa la educación ambiental, y desarrolla una plataforma digital interactiva que democratiza el acceso a información climática y ecológica. Este espacio se convierte en un puente entre ciencia, cultura y acción, contribuyendo al desarrollo sostenible y a la protección del patrimonio natural y cultural del Ecuador.
